Audio Assignment Questions

For my Audio project,  I will be interviewing Micheal. In our pre-interview last class, Micheal and I both found out we were and have been student athletes. We spent a lot of the class period reminiscing on past triumphs and failures in our sport careers, which I think is a compelling topic to explore. Some of the questions I plan to ask are,

1) What were some of your biggest triumphs/failures during your sport career?
2) Has your view of sports changed since you were young?
3) Biggest idol in sports world at a young age? Biggest inspiration?
4) A certain moment that you can still picture today?
5) Any important lessons learned through playing/watching sports?

Interview Transcript

In the interview I conducted with Micheal, we went over the various ways in how Soccer and growing up an athlete has influenced multiple aspects of our lives. I tried to structure the interview in three parts, in which I would explore Micheal's memories of the past and present and then end it with what he thinks his future will be in Soccer. SoundWalk

The area I picked for my sound walk, was my walk home from Hunter. It was just after 3pm, so right as I exited Hunter I walked into hundreds of students going between buildings, running to the subway, waiting on line for food or just standing with groups of friends talking. Over the white noise of everyone talking and the city, I heard a student yell above it all to ask for extra white sauce on his platter. There were sounds of cars honking and buses coming into the bus stop and settling. As I stood on the northwest corner of 68th and lex observing such a concentration of chaos, conversations of others would pass by. I saw a girl to her friend say “Yeah, but I have to work”, and heard a “what up, bro” as a group of kids converged to one of their friends.
